Asian Champions

March 23, 2012

Pakistan won the Asian cup but Bangladesh deserved it more. I have only praises for Bangladesh team nothing else.

But, interestingly India’s media has been blaming Sri Lankan team for deliberately losing to Bangladesh in semi finals. Indian media has been trying hard to link Sri Lankan connections with book makers, for obvious reasons. Not one finger was pointed any where when India lost to Bangladesh, few days ago. And what about Pakistan throwing a game in favor of India? All of that doesn’t matter..

Amazing Misbah Ul Haq

Amazing Virat Kohli

March 19, 2012

Virat Kohli has proved it in recent times that he is the best Indian batsman at the moment. Where Sachin Tendulkar has struggled, Kohli had thrived. In India’s recent tour of Australia Kohli was the stand out batsman, the only batsman who showed some courage on faster pitches.

Last night India has out classed Pakistan with the help of Kohli, chasing 329 in 48 overs, was a good win for Indians.

What a batsman he is, without arguments, The best ever.  His greatness wouldn’t be any less if he had retired at 99 international centuries. I am not sure whether he also hold the record of futile centuries just like his 100th hundred.

It was a historic day for Bangladesh, beating India in their home ground.

Miss tuk ul Haq

February 29, 2012

I might not be wrong by saying that, Misbah ul Haq is Anti Imran Khan. I am not talking about politics, this argument is purely based on Captaining abilities. Imran Khan had a great role in Pakistani cricket history for setting up a role model of captaining the cricketing side. His motto was, ” Offense is the best form of defense”.

Misbah ul Haq defends, “Defense is the best form of defense”. Which, somehow have worked for Pakistani team in test form of cricket. I am not a impressed by his captaining abilities, sometimes extremely negative approach of play the game. But, on the other hand, I have to say the he is the best in what squad we have at the moment.

Bye Bye Ricky

February 20, 2012

Someone smart, once said;

“Great batsman knows when to hang up his gloves” – Ehsen

Well, Ricky Ponting is definitely not one of them. I have written about Ricky on a number of occasions, he is one of the best batsmen of this era. I was hoping that he would leave on a high note. Australian cricket board sets the benchmark for the rest to follow.

Another one I am worried about is Sachin Tendulkar, but he is lucky enough to have BCCI on his back. BCCI would go any length to have him glorified (not does he need anymore), even if they had to loose many more series.

Gracious in Defeat..England!

February 9, 2012

This shouldn’t be a ‘news of the world’ anymore that they are not gracious winners or even losers for that sake. Even, writing about it is bit of a cliche’, I would rather like to quote dictionary.

Sore Loser

1-            “A sore loser is someone who loses in a fair competition but whines about it on a constant basis, blaming  everyone around them for their loss except themselves. Fun to taunt, but no fun to play with.”

  • “Stop throwing chess pieces at me, ya damn sore loser!
  • “Stop blaming the swing, ya damn sore losers!”

2-           Someone who can’t simply be honorable, by accepting defeat and/or trying again. On the contrary, said individual or group engages in childish pissing and moaning; bitching about how it’s not fair and the other side cheated, etc.

  • “What about Saeed Ajmal? Ya damn sore losers!”
